The OpenWrt adapter speaks ubus and UCI to OpenWrt routers and access points, covering ubus call routing, UCI config marshalling and package-management hooks. It is selectable when you add a controller, and its client carries the same write gating as the rest of the fleet: writes are refused while read-only mode is engaged unless they arrive inside an approved staged apply. It stays a preview because it has not been verified against real hardware. Recorded live and replay coverage is structural only, there is no certification of the write families, and ARP and disk reads degrade gracefully rather than reporting real data.

Native ubus/UCI access
The client routes ubus calls and marshals UCI config, the same primitives the OpenWrt UI and CLI use, so the foundation for full management is in place.
Honest preview posture
This adapter has not been through the gold-standard audit, is not registered as a selectable adapter type, and has no UI. We list it so the gap is visible, not to imply production readiness.
